Print to Tape

An embarassingly simple question. I have a rendered project that I am trying to print to Mini Dv. My camcorder is a Sony DCR-PC101. No matter what I do (clearly I am missing something) I am not able to initiate the print function. I have looked at the Help items and, among other things, it says "Choose View>File Playback Mode; there is no such item available. This is put in by way of an example as I am missing some more basic (camera setting, maybe?). Any help would be appreciated as I really don't want to be tormented the entire weekend.

Hi Ira,

THe help is referring to the selections in Vegas Capture...

"View" offers three choices in mode: Capture, Advanced Capture and Print to tape. These are also tab-selectable.

You might try Print to tape, click on the file icon, and select your dv avi.

Then use the buttons by the preview window to cue-tape and record to tape. (note that cue-tape button needs to be *turned-off* to use the other buttons).
