Hey Spot !!! :-)

A Newbie on a mission. My heart is beating faster, I am getting the hang of some basic techniques. I have a video project on the time line (which is to short, but thats another story) and I want to put it on tape. How the heck do I do that :-) I'm reading, clicking drop down menues, everything leads to rendering to a file. I have to put this work of art on tape. I know I am over looking something.

Thanks again - Henry

PS. I just discoverd the device association in the Preference menue. I now have external monitor display. I might be on the something.

You can either print to tape from the Vegas timeline, or use Video Capture's Print to Tape tab.

Hi FF,

There are some icons in the upper right corner of the Capture PTT window. You can open a folder and add rendered files to a list, like a playlist.

PTT will display the total files and runnning time, and you can PTT all with no gaps.

There are no bars/tone in Capture PTT, so if you need some you might want to render them to a file and add them to the list.

Thank you,
Ihad found what you arre talking about just after I posted the message. However my reason for asking was a problem I was having with the pprint to tape from the time line. Unfortunately I get the same problem when I print to tape from the vidcap. Sporadic frozen video and 'blue screen'.

Try different firewire cards. Every problem I had in the past printing to tape was related to my firrewire card. I had to try a few before I found one that worked with my system.
