Print to tape

I am having a problem printing to DV tape. I am using a HP P6140f with a 1394 firewire. When I print to tape everything goes fine but when I play the tape back I get a blue screen that interupts the video about every 5 to 30 seconds. I have all of the antvirus turned off and the hard drives defraged. The video capture through the same firewire works fine. Any help would be appreciated.

I seem to recall some talk here on the forum a while back about a problem with the 1394 chipset used on some HP computers. Do a search for "hp" and "1394"
