Help.Everything was fine until-------I reinstalled video wave 3 to use mpeg2 capabilities and now I can't print to tape using VF. When I produce AVI for digital
tape everything seems normal and then record to device I get squares flashing and a
white screen occasionally some video. I should have known better.Oh I have deleted videowave 3 and all its files

From what I understand some editing suites vie for supremecy (if that's the right term) in the b/ground. I think as you've installed VW 'over' VF that's where the problem arose. As you've still got probs I'll assume there's still some VW files hidden somewhere. The best way to uninstall any software is to use settings/add/remove (not the software's uninstall, as files will be left), then use 'find' to locate those hidden ones, and delete them. Sometimes it's a good idea to use a freebie utility like RegCleaner to get rid of deeper ones. If you want to still use VW you may have to uninstall VF, then reinstall VW, then VF. Hope this helps.

I don't have vf on a disk. I downloaded it from internet.

You should still be able to reinstall VF from the original download file. It remains unchanged on your harddrive after the original install.

Thank you very much for you help. I went to sonic video factory on my hard drive and saw a repair folder. I used it and the problem was fixed. Thanks again for your response.
