Print to tape as an AVI or MPEG2?

I just finished a 40-minute long movie for class and I want to make another backup of it on a DVmini tape (thru my camcorder). I'm pretty familiar with Vegas 4 since I've been using it for a couple months (haven't upgraded to 5 yet), but one thing I'm still unsure of: Do I print to tape using my .VEG file or do I use an already-rendered MPEG-2? I imagine that the quality of printing the AVIs within the VEG file would be much better than printing an MPEG-2 on a DV tape. Any ideas?

(Just FYI I'm using a Canon GL2, running a 2.5ghz P4 with 1gigRAM.)

OPen your project in Vegas and use the Print to Tape option. You don't want to convert your MPEG to DV. This will be a lower quality.

When you use the print-to -tape it will render it for you. It's pretty easy.
