Print to Tape does not stop

I have a SONY DCR-PC110 and a Pyro 1394 card. VV and VV
capture 2.0.0.77.
When printing to tape, if the avi file does not have more
than 2 or 3 seconds of black footage, the capture program
does not stop the camcorder from recording and I have to
stop it manually. Other wise, the capture utility stars and
stops recording fine.
I can deal with it, but any ideas?

Thanks

I have just verified with a Canon Elura: camera record
stops at the end of the file. I have never seen it work
differently.

(I'm not totally clear on your specific problem, so forgive
me if this doesn't have anything to do with it):

You can adjust the record engage delay in prefs/other. .
This pref allows you to set the delay between the Vidcap
print command and the playing of the file (sometimes the
first few frames get clipped; varies by device).
