Print to tape error

I'm new to vegas and i'm experimenting with my brand new DV.
I printed to tape a less then a minute segment in PAL DV: a message told me 80% of the clip had to be prerendered. It did that and no problem, the tape was printed fine.
I thought it looked slightly too "video" so I duplicated the track and added a quick blur plugin on the top track with transparancy at 20% and printed to tape again. same thing, 80%...
But on that second version towards the middle of it, there are 2 frames (actually the 2 first frames) that are inserted.
I printed to tape again, and the 3rd version has one frame (the very first one) inserted at the same place.
any idea ? thanks

Have you tried just rendering to a new avi file and printing it?

When I get that message, I know I've made a mistake (unless it's a project where I've modified every clip in some way). The first thing I check is my track header level to verify it's still at 100%.

Thanks jetdv,
after i posted and read more about PTT problems on this forum, I rendered to a new avi, used the PTT in the capture window, and it's fine.

>When I get that message
I didn't get a message, it was just when I watched the tape, I noticed inserted frames.

It's strange though, or should I say buggy?
but as long as there is a way around it, I'll make do with it I guess
