Print To Tape - HDV on Windows 2000?

Someone told me that you can't print to HDV on Windows 2000, is that correct? If it IS possible, is there anything I need to know about doing it?

I don't believe you can capture or PTT under Windows 2000. At least I was not able to, nor find anyone who was successful. Windows won't recognize the camera, and without that you're stuck.

I have spent LOTS of time trying to find out if anyone has succeeded in HDV capture with Win2k. It appears that NOBODY has because there is no D-VHS device driver available to communicate with HDV equipment except in XP. If you can't see the device, you can neither capture nor print to tape.

Thanks guys. I ended up borrowing a laptop with XP and doing it from there. Worked perfectly. (I have XP on my systems but I'm not home.)
