Print to Tape is Jittery at start

I'm trying to print to tape for the first time. The first 10-20 seconds or so are VERY jittery. After that it stabilies and everything is fine. How can I fix the jitter please? Thanks

System:
winxp pro
lots of ram
2gHz processor
etc etc

Try a full render instead of printing from the timeline, then use video capture to print to tape. This method has worked better since version 2.
