I have made my first attempt to print a program from the timeline to a VHS recorder passing through a firewire board and then out my Canopus ADVC-100 to the VHS. It just won't work. Let me say that I have had absolutely no problems importing analog video into VV4 through the same system.
I have followed all the directions, I believe:
- set video device tab to firewire
- in print to DV tape I set all the parameters
When I clicked on finish, it did some rendering and then gave me the count down screen. When I clicked on it, the printing started, EXCEPT the time listed was 27:00, rather than my timeline program of 1:45! Nothing in the preview screen, nothing coming out the Canopus (I am using the output RCA jacks on the back of the unit.).
I checked to make sure I didn't accidently have a time selection of 27:00, but I didn't. Also, when the printing beginds should you see the cursor start across the timeline?
Any suggestions. I'm totally baffled.
