Print to Tape not allowed

VF has now decided to disable and mute the buttons that "Print to Tape" "Cue Device" and "Preview on Device". The file will play in the VF preview window, but won't give me access to the buttons to print to tape. I have reinstalled VF. No help. I tried 3 different Sony DV cameras. While they perform fine using the capture function, VF doesn't want to allow me print any files to tape, including files I know to be good. This is the latest VF version, 2.0c. I am running Win XP Pro on a Dual-AMD-1900+ Tyan 2466 Motherboard. Right now, I am cheating by taking my rendered AVI-NTSC-720x480-29.97fps file and printing to tape using VideoWave. VF did work before... any ideas?... Anyone?... Anyone?

Only a thought. Check to see if under "Preferences" in Capture or PTT that the file managment tab still recognises the path and drive you know houses your clips. I had VF blow away the drive and path connection.

Had this happen to me under WinME - oh yeah I can PTT and capture in Studio7.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it wasn't the answer. I'm going to try some drastic things, like completely reformatting and re-installing Win XP and the VF software. I'll update later.

Thank goodness my C drive only holds programs and non-essential files. My other hard drives hold all the important stuff. Starting over with a fresh copy of Windows XP Pro and VF 2.0c fixed the problem.
