For sure check your cassette for write protect. SF might have given us a more specific sign that the tape was write-protected - I kept wondering why the button to re-select Auto-device control was greyed out. It was due to my write protect tab being set to prevent recording.

write protect is off, but no recording.
But i found another way:
in vidcap, print to tape tab, i press cue divice.
nothing happens, and the cameracontroles stay grey.
BUT when i go to video (menu) i have a tab to the preference of my loaded DVdriver (i think).
this has a botton to put my camera into recmode JIHAAA
i close vidcap, my camera stayes into recmode and the pause botton works on the camera. then print to tape from VV3 (not vidcap30) and manualy push the pause botton, and everything on the timeline is printed to the camera.
but it would be better if VV3 would do this all by itself. next week i will try this with another camera SONY PC6,
if anybody has maby another suggestion: keep it comming
hope you understand what i am saying, and sorry for my bad typing.
