"Print to Tape" problem with Canon XM2

When I try to print to tape I get the 2 options Manual and Device control where Video Vegas controls my camcorder automatically. Now the device control option is greyed out and I can't select it. I have tried a number of things. I am using Vegas 4.0c.

Any help would be great.

Not being funny - but have you actually "selected" a file to PTT? Are you sure?

I don't now use "Print From T/L". I found with my other Dell Inspiron issues this to be a bit, cumbersome.

In preference, I now use "Print To New Track" - go to my New Track folder - import THAT file into PTT, as part of the VidCap Menu and go from there - yeah? - I don't have any problems with this approach. Manual or Device Control - it works. DO you have Device Control selected in the Captur/PTT preferences?

We'll get a solution - I'm sure! Please try and ascertain you do have a file to PTT - yeah? The greyed out thing you're seeing doeas make me think you haven't got the file selected. Oh, can you preiview the file while in PTT?
