Print to tape stops at playback head

During a manual print to tape, since device control doesn't seem to work with 6, the playback stops when it hits the place the playback head has stopped.

Is this normal? I returned to check on my print to tape, and noticed the picture had stopped moving. It got to the 2 minute mark, where I had left the playback head, and just stopped. Since it was manual control, of course the deck was still in record mode.

No biggie, as I just made sure to park the head well after the program ended on my next PTT, but just an FYI that might save someone, somewhere, some time.

What are your problems with device control? It works well with Version 6 here.

Its odd. Device control works great when I capture, but not when I print to tape. So I have to manually engage the video deck. It worked well in 5. I have a ticket open with Sony tech, so I'll keep you posted.

Thanks.

If you have Preview onto External Monitor, try disengaging this. I know, but it does work for me. - G

Grazie, I'll try it when I get a moment. I did try to turn off external preview to try and regain device control, but no dice.

Thanks.
