I capture footage to Vegas 4 from DV tape in my camera with no problem via a USB 2 connection. I have been trying to put an edited piece back onto DV tape using "Print Video to DV Tape" in the Tools menu. Everything goes fine until the last step of printing to tape, when Vegas says my device is not on. Yes, I've tried turning it on in all possible ways and orders (including restarting Vegas in various order with respect to camera on) and it still says the same thing. In an earlier topic stream, some have suggested that this is because Vegas needs firewire - won't work with USB 2. Do others have comment or experience with this? If Vegas has no problem capturing via the USB 2 hook up, shouldn't it work in the opposite direction? Is there a definitive source of information on this that anyone is aware of?
