I'm new to Vegas and going through the training process via Douglas Spotted Eagle's DVD's. The version is Vegas 8.0c. I have 2 Sony decks; DSR40 and M25U. Currently the M25U is connected via firewire (1394) to the computer. Capture from the M25 works fine. "Printing" back to it isn't happening. Here the process:
I select my project and hit "R" to create a Render Zone. When I select "Print Video to Tape" it shows No Devices with only "AJA..." and "OHCI...." in the drop-down. When I select "Print Video to HDV Tape" my M25 shows up with no other choices and the Format is "HDV 1080-60i".
With the "Print Video to HDV Tape" option, when I get to the 3 screen, Choose Device Control Mode, everything is ghosted out. My only option is to go back "<Back". I even put my M25 into Record/Pause mode. Nothing!!
So what is the secret to outputting to tape?
