Anyone out there using the SONY DSR-11 deck with Vegas? I can't get Vegas to print to tape from the "Tools" section in Vegas with this unit. Vegas Support has not tested this particular deck.
I even lowered the settings to 1 second for SMPTEBars & 1 second for black leader and trailer and get...nothing but blackness! The progress bar at the lower side of the screen shows percentage progress increasing but that goes on for many more minutes than is reasonable.
Vegas and Windows XPPro recognize the SONY DSR-11 device. My PC consists of XPPro w(SP-1); AMD dual 2000+ Palominos on an ASUS A7M266-D motherboard; Creative Audigy Platinum 2 Card (I unplugged the internal firewire connector on the Audigy board); SIIG firewire card is connected to the SONY DSR-11; USB 2.0 card (Use a Belkin USB adapter for web access). I removed the modem, network card and unplug the USB2.0 Belkin adapter.
I can capture DV from the SONY DSR-11 just fine.
Hardware Device Manager shows SBP2CompliantIEEE 1394 device on VIA OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Cont
Driver:sbp2port.sys
Driver date 7/1/2001
Driver version 5.1.2600.0
I can print to tape from the media pool. The problem with that is I would have to render each project twice: once with a leader for VHS and once without a leader for DVD.
Any suggestions?
Steve
