Sounds like you have a plugin installed it doesn't like, or the installation got corrupted somehow.

Not sure that helps me without having more info. Tho I don’t doubt you’re right

See if any of the fixes in this thread work for you.

not sure if it was in the thread. but I completely uninstalled, then installed each component of VP16 Suite one at a time, and that fixed it.

I've tried that also. Thanks for the suggestion, BTW. Nothing has worked and I've tried everything short of re-installing Windows. And THAT is just too much to do in the name of upgrading from a product I just bought a few months ago. I put all my plugins in a different folder, and the launch still seems to choke when plugins are being loaded.

while all other version of VVP will launch, this one version (16) will not launch.

16 GB installed memory
64 bit Operating System, x64 based processor

the only other suggestion I would have is this: remove all plug ins, even the ones that didn't come with vegas, even VST plugins. install vegas and see if it runs. if it does, and you can, reinstall all plug ins, maybe even one at a time if need be. finally, once they're installed, run vegas again re-initializing it (hold shift/control while double clicking on a desktop shortcut for vegas). sorry, I don't have any other suggestions. too bad magix won't chime in on these conversations. have you filed a support ticket?

I just had this problem as well. My solution was to uninstall the BorisFX Continuum plugin (Key & Blend unit that came w/ Vegas), try restarting Vegas (which worked), close Vegas, reinstall Continuum, and relaunch Vegas. All seems to be well now.
