You're still on V.8.0a according to that report. It might be worth updating to the latest version (V.8.0b) and trying again.

I think Bob's just being practical. A lot of people have experienced problems with projects in V8 that were created in earlier versions. I had one such project that I pulled in, accidentally saved over the V7 file, and ended up having to convert all the stills to AVI just to get it to render completely (V8 does NOT like jpegs on my older system...)

It's not that Vegas doesn't like JPEGs, it's just that it prefers PNGs.
