Pro 9 render problem

I have a project that is 11 min long. When I try to render it as an MPG 3 file to make a DVD it renders to 23% then the preview window goes black and the render keeps going without rendering anything past that point. Tried three times and it always stops at 23 %. My project has SD and HD elements in the timeline but the render stops well before the HD material comes up. Anyone have a solution to this problem? This is the first try at rendering after up-grading from 8 to 9.

Do you mean to render to an Mpeg2 file? If so, can you render anything else out without a problem. Is it just this project that has the problem?

The 23% point is in the middle of a straight video with sync audio segment.

Yes..I meant to say MPEG2.....which in pro 9 renders both video and audio at the same time. I'm used to doing audio and video separately when making a DVD in Architect 4.

I rendered a test of video and audio but without any FX and it rendered OK...may be something unique to my original project.
