Problem

Everytime I capture videos in Vegas, I can save it as an AVI, using DivX. Whenever I try to put it back into Vegas to edit, only the audio comes onto the timeline, and no video. What could be the problem?

Vegas doesn't recognize DivX 5. Search the forums, you'll find a few hundred threads.

Hi Jeremy. You should save the captured files as Video For Windows AVI (using a PAL or NTSC preset as appropriate), rather than DivX. This is the best format for editing in Vegas.
