problem copying & pasting event attributes

MemoriesFX wrote on 10/30/2010, 5:39 PM
I have just migrated to a new computer and platform for using Vegas Pro and I cannot seem to copy and paste event attributes. I need to make colour corrections and then paste them to another scene but it is not working. Any ideas? This is something I used all the time on my older system with never any problems.

Hello Stephen,
version of Vegas? It may not make a difference, but then again, it may...
1 - select the event, right click on the event and hit copy;
2 - select the new event, right click on new event and hit paste event attributes . . . correct?
It's working for me in both V9.0e 64-bit and V10.0a 64-bit - running Win 7...

No ideas at all . . .

You will get a few hits before too long, for sure...

Until that time... Earl J.

Do the color correction at the track level and drop you events on the track.

Thanks Earl. That's what I am doing but it's not working. Running V9.0e build 1146 64bit running Window 7

Yes that's what I did for colour correction on the track but as I add effects to individual events want to be able to copy and paste these to other events and after all this should be working

Let me chime in here and say that I've noticed some problems with pasting event attributes to video events too.

In my particular case, I was pasting attributes to some very short clips that had a velocity envelope. Some times the velocity envelope would be incorrect (not same as original), other times thety looked correct. But the strangest thing is that I could not edit or add points to the velocity envelopes. Removing the velocity envelope and then adding back in a new velocity envelope seemed to cure the problem.
