Problem downloading version 7e

Every time I try to download the the update file from Sony, it only downloads about 5mg or so of the 140mg and then stops with the message "download complete" which of course is not true.
I have no idea what is causing the problem, and would appreciate hearing from anyone who has had the same experience.

You are downloading using IE? You might try a Download Manager (Google "Leechget"--it's free). Then the old standard remedies: re-install IE or upgrade your version.

You have got to be kidding. I'm having the same problem downloading 7d. Do you mean your IT people can' configure the servers for basic up-loads? It is bad enough that Vegas 7d screwed up the preview to external monitor. Now we can't even download the patch? Our internet server has to be reconfigured because your server is run by amateurs?

Alien, do you think you're talking to the people at Madison? You're not. And, in any case, downloads aren't a problem.

I do all my downloads using Mozilla (Netscape/Firefox, same thing). I just click on the download link, choose the location to save to, then click save. Never a problem; just always works.
