Problem importing mpeg files into Vegas

I have mpeg files ripped from my sony dvd-201e camcorder most mediaplayers play the fil correctly but when I import them into vegas, vegas thinks that they are files with no sound. This is the codec information I found from the files:

Video : 0.0 B, 9300 Kbps, 25.0 fps, 704*576 (16:9), MPG2 = MPEG 2 (SVCD/DVD), Supported

Audio : 0.0 B, 256 Kbps, 48000 Hz, 2 channels, 0x2000 = AC3 DVM [0x80], Supported

Can anybody help me get Vegas to recognize these files as having Audio? What Codec do I need? I have the AC-3 codec & mainconcept mpeg 2 codec.

Thanks,

Marco

Here we go again ;-)

Vegas doesn't have an AC3 decoder. You'll need to use some other utility such as DVD2AVI to extract the AC3 information from the VOB file into a WAV file that you can use in Vegas.

Search on VOB in this forum and you'll find boat loads of discussions.
