if you have a 130bpm loop (made in acid for example) opened in vegas and drag it along its track, the loop falls away from the grid slightly the further you go.
i've noticed this in all the vegas versions and seems to be a problem with all loops unless set at 125 or 128 bpm.
I think you're expecting some ACID functionality that Vegas doesn't have. Vegas is pretty much ignorant about loops and looping; it won't automatically adjust files to fit the grid. If you go to File / Properties / Ruler you can set a tempo for the project. However, all your loops will have to use this same tempo or you'll have the same problem with any that don't match it.
using this example: take a loop that is set at 130bpm, open it in vegas and drag it along its track with the vegas ruler set to 130bpm. if you magnify in, you can see that the loop repeat points start to fall away from the grid line - a tiny amount but if creating a song it makes all the difference with the timing. try it out - you'll see what i mean.
yes it's set to measures and beats and quantize was off.
please try out the 130bpm example and let me know if you find the same problem - i have a feeling this is a program fault rather than something i'm doing.
Ive seen this too. Sometimes its a sample rate thing, and the sample conversion doesnt end up to put it in the right time, and I cant fault anyone for this, as thats a tricky science, but sometimes it does it anyway and isnt sample rate related.
i posted about this a while ago.
acid and vegas used to have the exact same grid at any tempo but w/ the release of acid 3 and vegas 3 it was changed.loops from acid are always a little slower than the veagas grid now.
this is actually a major step backwords!
but part of your problem you should not drag the loops to continue them.
what you should is use the paste repeat(it could be called paste special, not sure) option in the edit menu and choose paste to grid.
this will help a lot!
always use this option for pasting a loop multiple times if you dont do it manually.
unfortunately you have to zoom in and stretch one loop exactly to the grid first and then use paste repeat using the paste to grid function.
but really.........
it stupid that the grid from acid and vegas is different now.
it used to be much easier.

p.s. supposedly incretements of 30 is the same grid in all programs on all platforms(90 120 150 etc.)not sure why 128 is the same in vegas/acid.
