Problem Playing DVD's

I have a problem playing DVD's created using Architect (ver 4.5c). The DVD starts to play and runs for about 5 minutes then square artifacts are displayed and finally the DVD stops or plays very slowly.

Okay, you would probably say that my DVD player/recorder is faulty. However, the player plays all the commercial DVD's that I throw at it without fault.

The DVD's created with Architect that fail on the player, work just fine on a number of PC's.

Can anyone suggest how I can isolate the problem.

Thanks
John

Your problem is likely a result of one or more of:

1) Too high bitrate, do not exceed 6 Mbs average bitrate for best results.
2) Choose Verbatim or T-Y media, not a bargain brand.
3) Use your free upgrade to DVDA Studio 4.5d.

Hope this helps.

I don't think option 3) exists. There is a 4.5d, though.

Yep, corrected my typo to read correctly, 4.5d (Studio version).

Have you tried playingn the 'failed' DVDs on another (newer) DVD player?
