You probably never will see a reply for these crash reports. Vegas is using a similar system to the one Microsoft developed years ago to handle this type of error reporting. Have you ever noticed when an application crashes, you see a message that says "Windows is looking for a solution to the problem?"

Software Developers could sign up to be part of this error reporting network. If your application is registered with Microsoft, when it crashes, Windows searches the database for similar crashes from registered programs and if it finds a solution provided by the software author, it report those results to the user.

The problem is, not to many companies, other than the very large software houses, could afford to incorporate the time and effort into supporting this error checking scheme. So usually when you get this message, nothing happens.

I believe Sony Vegas implemented their own version of this, but it, like the Microsoft system, was never set up to respond personally to the error report.

When you click on "Send", Sony gets an additional data point in aggregate. In other words, they are looking for trends.

You can try sending an email to tech support, but they aren't there to fix your PC. You can also try posting your details here (including your system specs in your profile) since this is a User Support forum.
