Problem uploading a movie to YouTube

When trying to upload a movie to YouTube from inside Movie Studio Platinum 12.0 I get an error message my username or password is not correct although I'm positive I entered them correctly. I've tried several times and I have no problem logging on to the actual YouTube site using the same credentials.

Is this a known issue and is there a fix for it?

Thanks in advance,

Richard

YouTube changes its APIs so often Movie Studio has no way to keep up.
MS 12 reached its end-of-life some time back . . .
You can try MS 13 for free.

Upload from outside MS.

Yes, uploading outside MS seems to be the best option.

I did however find out there's a Google option which won't allow applications without "modern security" upload to YouTube when enabled. Disabling this option allowed me to upload directly from MS but the upload was very slow vs uploading via the YouTube webpage so I'll stick to that.

Do you have Google's 2-factor authentication turned on? If so, YouTube is not directly compatible. You have to go to Google and get an app password for YouTube. I added that password to Movie Studio and everything worked just fine.

Learned this from another post (different forum I think) just today.
