I get he following messages when trying to upload a project on to YT.
"Failed to render project" followed by," An error occurred while creating the media file. The reason could not be determined"
Has anyone any idea what is happening?
Happy Xmas to all
Under the hood, the YouTube render uses the MainConcept AVC plugin with one of the "Internet" presets (480, 720, 1080) that best matches your project. It saves the MP4 file in your default render folder before uploading and then deletes the temporary MP4 after the upload.
So here are a few things you can test to narrow down the problem:
* First find your render folder: open Vegas and select File > Render As. The default folder in that dialog is where the temporary MP4 will be created.
* Open Windows Explorer to that render folder and sort by date. If things go well, you'll see a filename like "YouTube-220f0c222c144944ad4ff3908e8b0150.mp4"
* If you don't get that file, then try rendering with the MainConcept AVC plugin with the Internet HD 720p preset to the same folder. I'd expect that to fail in exactly the same way, but it's worth trying to reduce possible explanations.
