Problem Vegas 22 Doesn't launch

BMR-D wrote on 7/30/2025, 10:50 PM

Hello,

I downloaded the trial version of Vegas Pro 22. And the software won't open. I uninstalled it, reinstalled it, and reinstalled Visual C++. I tried running the software offline or changing the date as I've seen on other computers, and creating a rule in Windows firewalls, but nothing works. I can't run my trial version on Vegas. I wanted to try version 22 since it was the last day of the promotion.

I also tried CTRL+SHIFT, but it still doesn't work.

I also tried downloading different versions of Vegas 22. Build 250, build 122, and build 248, but there's no difference between the versions.

When I open the software, it loads, and the window closes. Does anyone have a solution?

Sorry for my broken English, and if someone has already opened a post on it that I haven't seen yet I looked but I could have missed something?

It looks like this is a French language installation? You can search the forum for that- Magix hasn't been able to isolate the issue and fix it. Try installing it in English for now and it should work. Maybe file a support request too.

@BMR-D As RogerS suggested, try installing the English Language version. There is a known issue with the French versions you are currently installing and trying to use.

Yes i'll do this, sorry for not specifying the specs, it's an important thing to fix the problems. and yes you have a good sense of detail it's an XP wallpaper!! Nostalgic I put it but on Windows 11!! :')

So so Thanks you to all to take time to answer me. I Even didn't know it was a know issue, i search a longtime like 8 hours before post on the Forum, didn't think about language at all :(

@BMR-D It's a weird issue and affects the full version.

One request- if you can try to open VEGAS again and wait for it to load and it freezes, hit control + alt + delete and right click on VEGAS under process and "create memory dump." If you can upload that somewhere (Google Drive) it could help the developers solve this frustrating issue.
