I've burned many hours with this problem, even looked at the documentation. I give up.
I'm having great success editing and rendering with Video Factory. The productions look great in Video Factory and in the Video Capture program. The problem is getting the rendered productions (.avi files rendered as Standard NTSC DV) off the computer, into the camera, then out to the VCR.
I never have problems outputing to my camcorder (Sony TRV-103)if the original content was digital video, but if my footage starts with either a still picture (.jpg, .bmp) or with a text field the rendered finished footage does not go to the camera. The text or images will be skipped until video footage occurs in the .avi file. I have found that if I start starting with a video section, sometimes the folling text and still images are sent to the camera ok.
I've done some workarounds like adding a little video footage as a leader to my productions, but this only has mixed success.
My computer is a Dell Dimension 700Mhz with 128 Mhz RAM and plenty of disk. I've loaded the most recent 2.0e (Build 77) update to Video Capture.
Can someone help? I'm trying to finish a wedding production that's all still .bmp images and text titles.
Thanks.
Bill
