Problem with Avermedia TV Studio 203

Software: Video Capture 3/4. Hardware: Avermedia TV Studio 203.
When I choose capture resolution equal or greature than 640 x 480 an error occurs : No combination of intermediate filters could be found to make the connection. Any solutions ?

Yes. Get a supported capture device such as an OHCI 1394/iLink/Firewire card, and if you need analog in, get a converter. You can get both in one shot with the Canopus ADVC 1394 card

That's correct. Codecs can be tricky buggers. This is why a 1394 card will work perfectly with a DV cam every time, because compression is accomplished by the camera. If you use a converter, it's compressed at the converter as a DV-compressed AVI, which is what is native to Vegas. No messing with weird thirdparty codecs.
