Problem with black & white photos pixelating in DVD slide show

I have created a photo montage dvd slide show. It has a combination of black & white and color photos, pans and zooms etc...

The problem is that when shown on TV, the black & white photos pixelate. I may be using the wrong term here, but it is like small dots on the b & w photos are flashing. It is distracting.

Is there a filter or setting within Vegas that I can use to prevent this? I am using Vegas 4.

Did you turn on "Reduce Interlace Flicker"?

No, I haven't tried that. I'll give it a shot.

You may also want to try the "Broadcast Video" filter, especially if it's a high-contrast image.
