Problem with DivX file

Hello I have rendered a file with Vegas 4.0b but I can't open it with Vegas You can download the file http://jerome.leveque.free.fr/Test.avi

The file is DivX with sound in MP3.

If you prefer a picture open http://jerome.leveque.free.fr/Image.jpg

I can open it in SoundForge 6 (Video and sound) but not in Vegas.

Have you the same problem? Can you help me to resolve it?

This is strange problem. I rendered a divx 5.03 with Vegas 4b today and no problem
in putting into the timeline.

I cannot playback with mediaplayer9 my default player when I doubleclick from explorer.
I can playback using DIVX Player V2.1

Does sound forge 6 has video window?
You probably playback sound only.

You may not able to see playback from the Explorer using Window MediaPlayer.

I can see and hear this file with MediaPlayer, SoundForge but I can't hear it in vegas.

I don't know why.

Some folks (including me) have had different results when trying to open up DivX files in Vegas. For example, I couldn't open up Divx 5.02 files in Vegas 3.x, but they seem to open and play (including audio) in V 4.x.

Do a search and you'll probably some other threads discussing this.

I read that one of the reason may be the sequence we installed the program.
Probably by re-installing the V4b after you installed the DIVX codec.
I will try this out tomorrow to see if my mediaplayer can play the divx video.
