Problem with Event FX

RonR wrote on 7/11/2006, 11:53 AM
I have been working on a complicated (for me) title sequence and now suddenly my Event FX and Track FX do not work. I have tried to use these features on several tracks and nothing happens. I can only think that I must have inadvertantly clicked on a button somewhere that would disable these effects, but have been unable to find it.

Can anybody help me? TIA.

Look at the Preview Window, see if you might have inadvertently pressed the "Bypass all FX" button. It happens quite often.

Dennis,

You are right, the "FX Bypassed" is checked, but clicking on it does not unchecheck it. Is there somewhere else that this can be unchecked?

Thanks,
RonR

Clicking on the circle icon that's half dark/half light will turn it off. Clicking on the arrow will give you the various ways it can be applied. You could also pick a different entry there as well to get it applied different ways (i.e. half affected/half not etc...)

Actually, it's "Douglas.: ;-)
Turning that option off, you also want to be sure that you haven't somehow bypassed FX at each event level.
Open the event FX on a clip, and see if the box is checked/ticked.
Also right click the event FX and be sure the FX aren't bypassed at the event.
You can also enable/disable the project FX with the same button I mentioned before, but you might also be seeing the clipboard, or other vid in there, so be sure you enable/disable it.

jetdv,

Clicking on the circle worked. My FX's are working again. Thank you.

Douglas; Sorry about the name mixup.
