Problem with external mic on trv950

Hi,

Following everyone's advice of using external mic. I am trying a Sony EMC907 connected to MIC(plug in power) mini stereo jack. But it simply turn off the internal mic without picking up any sound.

For testing purpose, I put in a Audio Technica mono dynamic mic (ATR-20) and it gives me left channel through the earphone.

Please help on picking/using the right stereo mic.

You really need a "trv950" forum - whatever a trv950 is .

Make sure that the battery is ok and installed correctly in the Sony. Also, if you wish to step up in quality, check out the Audio Technica AT822 or the Rode NT4.
