Problem with Proportions on Pictures

lnetzel wrote on 7/5/2003, 4:38 AM
I work with DV PAL 720x576 and I want to add some pictures I have made on Photoshop.

I made the pictures (*.bmp) as 720x576 and then put the in the movie, and then rendered at 720x576 as well but for some reason the pictures looks like crap. (It actually looks like crap even inte the preview)

The pictures looks like old Widescreen movies than has been pushed together to fit a 4:3 screen... and I don't understand why!

What does crap look like, in your case?
You might find something useful if you search this forum. Someone has give an explaination about the relation between still image format and render format, something like 720x576 is what appears on a TV screen, while the project format itself actually is a bit more. Or was the screen smaller?
Anyway PNG seems to be the recommended format for stills.
