Problem with thumbnail photo link

doowopper wrote on 11/6/2006, 6:11 AM
I am using DVD Architect 2.0. On a menu page, I use a .jpg photo for the link to my slideshow.
1) When I then preview the menu page in DVD Architect Studio, the thumbnail photo serving as a link is very pale compared to the original photo - it appears to have lost the saturation of its colors. When I burn the dvd of the project, the thumbnail photo again seems very pale compared to the original photo. Is there any way to maintain the original saturation of the photo when I use it as a link on a menu page, so that it appears the same as the original photo?
2) When I use "text and image" or just "image" to make a link on a menu page, the text and image are surrounded by a lighter color compared to the background image of the menu page. Is there any way to eliminate or change that light color surrounding "text and image" or "image" for a link, so that only the text and image appear against the original color of the background on the menu page without the surrounding lighter color?
Thanks.
Richard

What you are seeing is the selection mask superimposed on things. I don't remember if you can do this in DVDAS 2, but you might try changing the highlight style to underline.

Another option if you don't want anything to look like it's a link (which is a little counter-intuitive to most users who will expect some sort of indication about which button is selected) would be to set the color set colors to none/transparent.

Hi Scott,
Thanks for your very helpful response. I will use the underline as you suggested. However, I would like to know how to do the "set the color set colors to none/transparent," as you suggested in your post in this thread. I checked the manual and I couldn't find it there. If you don't mind, could you please tell me where I make that change and how to do it.
Thanks again.
Richard
