Problem with unwanted cross-fades

ShawnGN wrote on 2/16/2010, 7:42 AM
I've been having this problem where the scenes in my videos quickly cross-fade into eachother rather than clean cuts. I have snapping enabled, I've turned off auto-cross-fade, and I've even frame by frame checked the scene transitions in the preview box and while it looks fine there, when I render it I still get quick cross-fades instead. Is there something else I need to do or is this some kind of glitch in the program? (I'm using Vegas movie studio platinum 9)

Thanks for any help.

Getting weirder by the minute........What file formats are you primarily using, and what are you trying to render it as? Cin

Original footage is - Movie Clip (.MPG) from a standard def HDD sony camcorder, I render as either quicktime or WMV depending on what I need it for (QT for FXLab). It happens either way though.

Someone else started a thread discussing this same topic yesterday. There's no need, and it's confusing, to have two threads discussing the same thing at the same time.

I suggest keeping it all in one thread. Here's the original one:

david, with seven extra key strokes, you can make the URLs you post clickable:

Your last sentence becomes:
