Problem with video import...

i am trying to import video onto Vegas 5 but there is a message that says, "the device 'Digital Process Systems Video Capture Codec' could not be opened".
what does that mean?

How are you trying to import? Sounds like this was information captured from another application?
More information would be most helpful

i am trying to import video straight from my camcorder onto Vegas. i'm using a 1394 firewire.

Have you loaded any new software since you last used Vegas for capture? That could possibly corrupt files needed for capture.

i downloaded TMPGEnc Plus 2.5 so i can transfer the video to 24p. but nothing else.
