Problems capturing with Canon-ZR20

Hi I'm having problems capturing video with my Canon ZR20. I shot some footage using my friends Panasonic AG-DVX100. Because the Panasonic is not mine I use the Canon to capture, which the captured footage bleeds a little but most noticeable is the constant jerking of the audio. I also have a Sony PD100a but the captured footage comes out even worse. Thank you for your time.

Since the capture process only involves copying the 1s and 0s of the digital information, either it is there or it's not, so color smearing is not going to be because of the capture or playback device.

As for the audio, it sounds like its dropping out on you. Is the footage shot in LP mode? This leads to a lot of these kinds of problems when playing back on a different device than the footage was shot on.

Your right about the audio it was shot in LP. Is there any solutions to this problem or do I need to get my hands on Panasonic? As far as the smearing, it's not the type that can be seen on the edges of a person moving, if you know what I mean. Rather, its big noticeable smearing that flicker where there not supposed to be. Which is not how it appears on the LCD screen. Thanks.
