Problems playing authored BDs

I authored a Blu Ray disc in DVDA 5.0. It looks great and works perfectly in the preview, but I'm having two problems getting that to translate when played on a real BD player (Samsung BDP-1600).

The first problem is that the screen blanks out when moving from menu to menu. For the effect I'm trying to create, it's critical that the menus transition smoothly from one to the desk.

The second problem is that the audio for each menu loops at about 10-15 seconds, even though the menu length is set to auto calculate.

Does anyone know how to solve these problems? Ideally, I'd like to make changes to the authoring only, but if it means getting a different payer, that's fine. I just need to know what to get.

Thanks.

Are you creating a real Blue ray (25Gb) disc or a BD5 (standard DVD with Blueray format) ?

I have been concerned with the compatibility of home burned discs and, like Dennis, I found out in many tests at Best Buy that Sony players were the most tolerant. Sharp, Insignia, LG and Samsung would not even read or start on DVD's made in DA5. Other forums have been investigating the same issue and the list I saw confirmed my findings.

I settled for a Sony BDP360 blueray player and all is well ...

How a player handles menu or chapter transitions depends entirely on the player. More expensive players will probably have enough RAM to buffer such transitions, cheap players won't.
