problems printing to DV camera, is it Windows ME?

When I try, in file playback mode, to print to tape the picture
that gets exported is jumpy and distorted (time codes all messed
up). What seems to me strange is that my video capture is working
perfectly; I can import from my JVC DV camera with no problems.
I've checked everything I can that was suggested on the Sonic
Foundry Knowledge Base (my rendered film was made using
"lower field first", NTSC DV. DMA is enabled on my harddrive).
I'm running Windows ME and suspect I may need newer drivers
but aren't having any luck with their site.
Anyone with similar problems and/or suggestions.

I'm assuming you're using VF 2.0a? Have you installed the latest MS direct X downloads?

There may be other factors. If you're trying to print from the same drive where ME resides that may contribute to the problem. Also if your drives are slower that 5200bps that may affect the print to tape.
My laptop seems to drop frames about every 2 minutes during a 10 minute print to tape session.

Thanks for the first response. I'm actually using VF 1.0 which I must
have bought a day or two before the newer one was released.
But, I downloaded Video Capture 2.0h, and the latest Microsoft
Direct X, along with the new drivers. To no avail. I still get a
jumpy picture -- this isn't just a matter of dropping
frames, but of getting a stable picture at all.
The problem must be my HARD DRIVE SPEED. I'm using a laptop that
has an IBM-DJSA-210 10gb drive that has a RPM of 4200
Is there _anything_ I can do to get print-to-tape to work??????
