Problems Recording to DV Tape

Hey VV users,
It seems that i have just completed my first project on VV3. THe problem is that i render the footage, then i go to print to tape and it does not work.

I first go to menu and select (RENDER) PRINT TO TAPE, then once down it does a COUNTDOWN, and then i hit record on DV deck MANUALLY and countdown goes to 0 and no footage gets displayed. I know that the file is created becuase i can open it up in PREMIERE 6.0 to EXPORT IT OUT. The problem is that the VV3 does not print it out.

I have tried to open the AVI file to print out, but i can see the video but no audio comes out.

Also, the quality of the STILL IMAGE capture is poor, it does not look so clean, is there anything i can do to make it better.
If you have suggestions as what i should do please let me know.

thx

Sounds like your connection between the camera is not setup correctly. Are you using a fire wire to send the video out? Can you capture? I had that problem once because I forgot to switch my AVDC-100 from analog out to digital out.

don't do manual. Using device control starts at beginning of movie and stops at the end. There's not really a need to do it yourself. Otherwise you need to hit the record button on your camera after you hit go, i think. Hope i could help
