I'm having problems rendering some videos to 5.1 MPEG-2/AC-3 files using VMS8's Make Movie option. My source video is coming from a Sony HDR-SR11, which spits out M2TS files with 5.1 audio. If I just take that video and run it through the Make Movie wizard, DVD Architect Studio plays it just fine. If, however, I try to mix in a soundtrack and then render that the same way, DVD Architect Studio recognizes the file as 5.1 surround audio, but in previews it only plays back through the right speaker. The timeline in DVD Architect Studio also shows that nearly all the audio is on the right channel. I haven't discovered any way to get around this besides just rendering the audio out as a stereo WAV file and using that instead, which of course kills all the surround sound goodness.

Has anyone else seen this? Anyone know how to fix it?
