Problems rendering .mov files

I'm having trouble rendering .mov files. The sesion always begins rendering but at about the halfway mark I get an error message that either I don't have access to the drive where the file has been written or there may not be enough free space on the drive to accomodate the compression. The files are about 30 minutes long and the drive that I'm saving to has 40G of free space. By default the program wants to save the file in My Documents but I've chose another location. Could this be a problem? Please if anyone can advise it's much appreciated.

Maybe a it's making a temp file somewhere else (probley the C drive)? How much do you have lef free on there?

Thanks TheHappyFriar. There's 30G left on the C drive. I was thinking along the same line that maybe this temp file which by default is directed to the My Document folder is somehow not able to access the free harddrive space but that doesn't make much sense. I was able to write an mpeg2 file from the .veg with no problem. Would the temp file be accessing RAM?

Ahh! The .mov default program does not compress the video and the temp file is filling all available space on the hard drive, thus terminating the program.
