Problems trying to import a video

Hey guys, I'm trying to import a video into my project on Vegas Movie Studio 16 Platinum. It was shot on an iPhone, and when I went to import it, it says that I need to install QuickTime to do it. Well I installed QuickTime and it still is saying the same thing. What is says is, " The Sony QuickTime plug in was not able to initialize to QuickTime components on your system. It appears that QuickTime for windows is not installed properly. QuickTime files cannot read or written without full installation of the QuickTime version 7.1.6 or greater components, including the authoring components."

If this video is from a newer iPhone it is a like an HEVC MP4, which Movie Studio 16 may not be able to work with. Best and easiest solution is to convert it to a standard MP4 with the great free download Handbrake.
