I've been doing this for a while but I'm more or less still a novice. I'm having trouble with the consistancy of my dvd's. Allow me to give a run down of what I'm trying to do. I'm capturing footage from various political speeches debates and appearances from the candidate I support. Capture is through Canopus 110 into avi. I'm capturing using MS Movie Maker. I import into VMS Platinum 6. I edit and make clips in mpeg2. I then open DVDA3 import the clips I want to make into the dvd. The dvd runtime is about 1 hour and eight minutes. It is very basic. Sometimes I burn using DVDA3 and sometimes using Nero. I use single layer Maxmell media. The trouble is that the dvd's play is flakey. Sometimes it will play with no problems, other times it skips, pixelates or stops. This is very frustrating. I'm wanting to make a number of dvd's to hand out to family and friends but only if the dvd's play reliably. I can't detect any difference the write speed makes.
My operating system is XP. It has the current updates. Any suggestions?
Thanks
