Hi
Like some other people here I am having some challenges with my Vegas 8.0C.
With HDV I have seen the black frame problem and with AVCHD I had soundproblems this morning on a native 1 min. AVCHD file. Suddenly the comes a 'pop' in a certain place on the sound. I play back several times, opens closes Vegas still the same.
If I open the same file (just converted) into another NLE there is no problem.
I would for sure like to hang on to Vegas as long as possible because I love it a lot for many things, so my question is: would Cineform Nero Scene be the way to go?
Will I get trouble free conversion and realtime playback (2 streams in 'good' quality) on a quadcore / 4 GB / fast SATAII drives / XPPro?
If so, the investment is acceptable of $129,- to get it to work. I don't mind using the time on conversion - I do it over night, or when I am away, no big deal for me.
What is a big deal for me is, that when I finally are editing, I need stable and reliable media all the way.
Any input on the Cineform solution is much appreciated - thanks in advance.
