I have had the same problem with m2v files generated by Vegas 7, so it must be a bug. Hopefully the update just out addresses it.

Can we get more info about the .m2v file generated in Vegas. What template did you use? What version of Vegas? 7.0a?

Can either of you guys provide the crash dump details?

Thanks,
DaveS

It was from V7.0 - and it would have been MainConcept MPEG-2 / DVD Pal separate streams at a reasonably high bitrate.

I will see if I can re-trace what I did; hopefully I still have the files there. I simply left rendering to DVDA when I struck the problem, since I had a lot of DVDs of dance performances to get out.

Sorry, the files are gone.

I tried replicating the problem, now using Vegas 7.0b and DVDA 4.0a - rendered PAL separate streams in V7, but had no problems handling them in DVDA.

So hopefully the problem has gone. Thanks for your interest - if something recurs, I will post it.

wonder if m2v files from procoder and cinemacraft would nuke it
